The Torus Arch serves as a window into the revolutionary world of the 619 Ponce, a building constructed from wood cultivated in our own Georgian forests.
Torus Arch demonstrates how building with wood, a renewable, biophilic, and abundant resource in Georgia, can better our lives. It is a semi-permanent art installation that was installed at Ponce City Market in April 2023.
The long-term viability of our forests is directly tied to expanding the markets for the products that come from those forests. The Torus Arch is a prime example of what GFF can do to increase awareness of the possibilities of wood in construction. I am excited to support it financially and I think it is worth of the entire forestry community’s support.
